G56.2: Lesion of ulnar nerve
This nerve runs the entire length of the arm, from the shoulder to the hand. The nerve enables us to move our fingers, for example. The nerve is also responsible for sensation in the little finger and the ring finger.
The nerve may be damaged due to injuries or to pressure. The damage may be lasting or temporary.
This nerve in your arm has been damaged. This can cause, for example, tingling on the outside of one’s hand or little finger. One may also have a numb sensation. It may also no longer be possible to move the fingers as well as normal. The person may then be unable to flex their fingers properly any more, for example.
