G46: Vascular syndromes of brain in cerebrovascular diseases
G46.4: Cerebellar stroke syndrome
The cerebellum is part of the brain. The cerebellum is important for movement and balance. The cerebellum stores movement processes, for example, how one eats with cutlery or rides a bike.
Parts of your cerebellum have impaired function. These impairments are related to blood vessels in the brain. One cause, for example, is that the cerebellum is not getting enough blood.
If the cerebellum is impaired, various problems can occur. You may have mobility problems, for example. You are then unable to control movements in the normal way. You may also have speech problems.
