G44.2: Tension-type headache
The headaches can last for several minutes or even days. One may then be very sensitive to light or noise. One may then have no appetite, too.
The precise cause of this type of headache is unknown. These types of headache can occur, for example, when one is under a lot of stress or unable to sleep well. Muscles may be tense, too. The headaches may occur more frequently when the person drinks alcohol or smokes.
