F50.3: Atypical bulimia nervosa
Your eating behavior is not normal. There are psychological and physical reasons for an eating disorder.
You are not eating normally, as is the case with bulimia nervosa. You do not meet all the criteria for bulimia nervosa. Bulimia nervosa is also referred to as bulimia.
You keep binge-eating. Binges involve quickly eating high-energy foods in large quantities. These binges can cause guilt feelings and a fear of putting weight on. One may vomit as a result. Between binges, the person may diet. Weight can also be reduced by drugs such as appetite suppressants or laxatives.
Your weight may be normal, or it may fluctuate. You may have physical symptoms due to the bulimia. Your weight and your figure may excessively affect your self-esteem. You may also set yourself strict weight limits.
