F01: Vascular dementia

F01.8: Other vascular dementia

In your case the reason for the dementia is a circulatory disorder in your brain. With a circulatory disorder, a blood vessel may become blocked or narrower. But the blood vessel can also tear so that it bleeds into the tissue. If there is a circulatory disorder in the brain, parts of its tissue can die off.

With this dementia, the memory may gradually get worse. You may also be unable to do some things as well as you used to. Walking or talking, for example, may become difficult. It may also be difficult to think or to begin a task. One's mood may also be altered. One may feel very depressed or confused, for example.
