This issue can affect different parts of the body, including the heart, kidneys, nerves, and liver. The common symptoms of amyloidosis may comprise of fatigue, shortness of breath, swelling in the arms and legs, numbness, tingling in hands or feet, and unintended weight loss. The disease can progress at different rates for different individuals with specific types of amyloidosis having a long-term impact on health, and others progressing rapidly. The amyloid buildup can impair your organ function and lead to life-threatening conditions.
