Vitamins are substances the body needs for many tasks. The body is unable produce most vitamins by itself. These vitamins must be taken in through food. There are various B vitamins. These are distinguished with successive numbers.
Vitamin B6 is a component of many proteins. These proteins help prepare energy in the body. Vitamin B6 is moreover important for creating the red blood pigment. The red blood pigment transports oxygen in the body. Vitamin B6 is most notably contained in yeast, cereal, fish, meat, dairy products and eggs.
You have taken too much vitamin B6 with your food. If you have too much vitamin B6 in your body, your nerves may no longer work properly. For example, you may have no sensation, or pins and needles, in your hands and feet.
