E65-E68: Obesity and other hyperalimentation

Obesity and other hyperalimentation conditions result primarily from an excess intake of calories compared to the amount being used by the body. These conditions do not get transmitted from one individual to another, but rather, they result from lifestyle choices, including poor diet and lack of physical activity. Genetics, environment, and certain medical disorders can also contribute. These conditions present as abnormal or excessive fat accumulation that may harm health. Common symptoms may include breathlessness, increased sweating, snoring, inability to carry out physical activity, back or joint pains, and feelings of tiredness or fatigue. As time passes, these conditions may lead to the development of serious health issues like diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, certain types of cancer, and impairments in mobility. They primarily affect the body's metabolic system, cardiovascular system, and musculoskeletal system.
