E50-E64: Other nutritional deficiencies
E60: Dietary zinc deficiency
Zinc ensures that many proteins in the body are able to work properly. For example, zinc is important for the immune system, blood formation and wound healing. Particularly large amounts of zinc are contained in meat, fish, eggs, rolled oats, cheese, soy beans and nuts.
You have taken insufficient zinc with your food. If you have insufficient zinc in your body, you may have various symptoms. For example, you may be more susceptible to diseases caused by pathogens. The skin and mucous membranes can be damaged. Hair may become brittle or fall out. You may also have digestive problems.
