E56.1: Deficiency of vitamin K
Vitamins are substances the body needs for many tasks. The body is unable produce most vitamins by itself. These vitamins must be taken in through food.
If you have insufficient vitamin K in your body, your blood may not clot as well. In that case, you may start to bleed more quickly. It may also take longer for the bleeding to stop again. There is a lot of vitamin K in vegetables, cereal, milk and meat.
