D37: Neoplasm of uncertain or unknown behaviour of oral cavity and digestive organs
D37.7: Neoplasm of uncertain or unknown behaviour: Other digestive organs
Neoplasm of uncertain or unknown behaviour: Other digestive organs, refers to a growth found within the digestive organs that cannot be immediately classified as either benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous). The digestive organs include parts of the body such as the stomach, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, and intestines, among others and any of these could be the site of such a neoplasm. Symptoms related to the location of the growth may be experienced and it could include pain, discomfort, changes in bowel habits, or unexplained weight loss. The progression of the condition highly depends on the nature of the neoplasm which, for now, is uncertain or unknown. Hence, further tests are usually needed to help determine the type of cells the growth contains, which in turn can aid its classification and dictate the course of management.
