C92: Myeloid leukaemia

C92.8: Acute myeloid leukaemia with multilineage dysplasia

Acute myeloid leukemia with multilineage dysplasia (AML-MRC) is a type of blood cancer where your bone marrow produces abnormal cells of more than one lineage. The abnormal cells could be red cells, white cells, or platelets, which disrupt the normal functioning of your blood cells. This condition often develops from a pre-existing blood disorder or after treatment for a different type of cancer. This can cause symptoms like fatigue, frequent infections, easy bruising or bleeding, and anemia. AML-MRC progresses rapidly and can quickly spread to other parts of the body if not treated promptly. It primarily affects the blood and bone marrow, but can impact other systems of the body over time.
