B94: Sequelae of other and unspecified infectious and parasitic diseases
B94.2: Sequelae of viral hepatitis
The liver is an important organ on the top right of the abdomen. For example, it helps with blood clotting and detoxifying the body. Nutrients from food are processed in the liver.
Viral conditions can cause liver tissue to harden or scar. If the liver is damaged, it may sometimes stop working properly. You will then feel feeble and tired, for example. The skin may look yellow and be itchy. You may also have blood clotting problems.
