Fish tapeworms are parasites that occur in fish. Parasites are small creatures that, at least for periods of time, live off other creatures. In humans they can cause illnesses. You can become infected by eating raw fish.
Fish tapeworm can cause stomach pain or diarrhea. Over time you can also develop a vitamin B12 deficiency. You may also have no symptoms at all.
