B66.2: Dicrocoeliasis
Small liver flukes occur in grazing animals such as sheep and cows. They are transmitted from these animals via ants. You can become infected by swallowing infected ants. The ants may occur in uncooked vegetables, for example.
You may notice small liver flukes through a feeling of fullness or bloating. You may suffer from diarrhea and cramp-type stomach pains, or vomiting. It is also possible that you have no symptoms at all.
