B33.1: Ross River disease
There are various kinds of viruses. You have been infected by the so-called Ross River virus. This virus originates in Australia and Papua New Guinea, in particular. They are transmitted by mosquitoes.
If you are infected with the viruses, the symptoms usually occur after a few days. Various joints are often painful. They may also get stiff, swell up, and turn red. You also sometimes get a skin rash. A high temperature may accompany the illness, for example.
