B08.4: Enteroviral vesicular stomatitis with exanthem

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is caused by viruses. If you have contact with infected individuals, you can become infected with hand, foot, and mouth disease through tiny drops of saliva, for example.

With hand, foot, and mouth disease, blisters can form on the skin. They appear mainly on the palms of the hands, the soles of the feet, and in the mouth. You can also get a fever and a sore throat.
