With spotted fever, you may have a high fever and be severely ill. You may then also become confused or pass out. Pink spots can occur on the skin. Later the spots can darken and turn into tangible pustules. Your lungs can also get inflamed. Lung inflammation can be accompanied by coughing or chest pain. Spotted fever can also be accompanied by swollen lymph nodes.
