A00: Cholera

Cholera is an acute diarrheal disease caused by Vibrio cholerae bacteria, typically transmitted through ingestion of contaminated water or food. Clinically, it presents with sudden onset of profuse watery diarrhea and vomiting, which may include blood in severe cases, leading to rapid dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, and risk of hypovolemic shock if not promptly treated.
