Dr. Jordan Mitev
Leader in oral surgery and national winner in implantology
Dr. Yordan Mitev, a distinguished oral surgeon, has spent over a decade refining his expertise in the field of dental medicine. As the director of Empadent Dental Practice in Sofia, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership and clinical proficiency. His academic journey began at the Faculty of Dental Medicine at the Medical University in Sofia, graduating in 2008. He gained further specialization in oral surgery from SBAL for Maxillofacial Surgery in Sofia in 2019. Dr. Mitev has also participated in numerous courses both domestically and internationally, focusing on implantology and guided tissue regeneration.
Dr. Mitev is recognized for his academic contributions, including publications and conference participations. His areas of expertise include immediate implantation in the aesthetic and distal areas of the dentition, alveolar ridge preservation techniques, and extraction of impacted teeth. His teaching philosophy is rooted in sharing the latest innovations, techniques, and technologies in the field, which he has showcased in his lectures at various dental events.
As a respected member of MINEC, Dr. Mitev's accomplishments extend to his participation in dental implantology competitions. He was the winner of the "New Horizons" national implantology competition in 2021 for single restorations on implants. In 2022, he was a finalist in the international implantology competition, MegaMind, held in Seoul, South Korea. He further triumphed in the "New Horizons" national competition in 2023, winning in two categories: Multiple Restorations and Total Restorations. These accolades reflect his commitment to excellence and his dedication to advancing the field of dental implantology.
