Specialist in focal diagnostics and dental allergology

Dr. Raya Grozdanova is a leading specialist and innovator in the field of focal diagnostics and dental allergology in Bulgaria. She is Senior Assistant at the Department of Imaging and Oral Diagnostics in the Faculty of Dental Medicine at the Medical University – Sofia and a pioneer in the official introduction of infrared thermography for the diagnosis of hidden inflammatory processes in the maxillofacial region.

With over 17 years of experience in thermal imaging diagnostics, Dr. Grozdanova has diagnosed hundreds of patients with hidden focal infections, establishing the method as a non-invasive, safe and highly precise diagnostic tool. In 2012 she defended her doctoral degree with a pioneering dissertation dedicated to the thermodiagnostics of focal infection.

She leads the "Focal Diagnostics", "Dental Allergology" and "Dental Physiotherapy" units at the Uzunov Dental clinic. She specializes in allergy diagnostics, including tests for allergies to dental materials and local anesthetics.

As a lecturer in oral pathology and clinical dental allergology in Bulgarian and English, Dr. Grozdanova actively participates in the education of students and postgraduate courses, contributing to the development of modern, integrative dental medicine.
