Dr. Galip Gürel

World-renowned aesthetic dentist & smile-design educator; past EAED president and founder of EDAD.

Dr. Galip Gürel (DDS, MSc) is a globally recognized leader in aesthetic dentistry and smile design. A past president of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (2011–2012) and founder/honorary president of the Turkish Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry (EDAD), he has taught thousands of clinicians worldwide on porcelain laminate veneers, minimally invasive preparation, digital/analog mock-ups, and comprehensive treatment planning. He authored The Science and Art of Porcelain Laminate Veneers (Quintessence), serves as editor-in-chief of Quintessence (Turkey), and is a visiting professor at NYU, Marseille Dental University, and Yeditepe University. Dr. Gürel has practiced aesthetic dentistry in Istanbul since 1984 and continues to lecture and run hands-on courses internationally.
