Direct anterior restorations
Basic information
The course "Direct Anterior Restorations" combines in-depth theoretical training with demonstration and hands-on practice. The program covers biomimetics, dental morphology and the optical properties of enamel and dentin. Special attention is given to shade selection, dental photography and various composite layering techniques. The practical part includes fabricating a Class IV restoration on models.
The training is suitable for students and beginners as well as for experienced general dental practitioners.
Benefits for participants
Participants will refine their skills in accurately determining and reproducing the color and morphology of the anterior teeth. They will gain practical knowledge of monochromatic and polychromatic composite layering, incorporation of super-pigmented masses (stains) to achieve three-dimensional, natural restorations, and shaping and texturing the restoration’s surface layer. After the course, participants will understand and apply key optical characteristics such as fluorescence, opalescence and translucency. They will also master protocols for creating adequate proximal contacts, as well as effective finishing and polishing techniques. The practical work will give them the confidence to apply what they have learned in daily clinical practice.
